Beyond The Waves

Waves rise around us as basement days smoke in endless sight.
Homeless the home bound stand on rivers night.
Countless souls drift below coming up only to die.
As we wait along, and wait so long the sun snores on high.
We followed suite as out captain led us here tonight.

What lays ahead and lies below a flowing tapestry of place, and time.
Following leads that come from the sea so bliss as others obliged.
We used to feast on death and disease as we were locked up ready to die.
But we made a deal from where we is still unrevealed but we made it our alive.
Onward we go endless days never seemed so bright, but we were way too sad but now more than glad that we can at least crawl into a cascade that washes, and fills with purity on which we were bone dry.

Waters turn as face blur the walls we are down that we used to erect, and hold on high the peaceful burn of lights that yearn and illuminate the hope that's here with us tonight.
As we wade and step on shallow to chest we fasten the bravest climb.
From shadows and years we are suited here to not look back as dawn breaks we go under, and then we rise.
