Yellow Fever Dreams

Singing resounds as inertia bellows
Mechanical laughter bubbles from abysmal endings
Bubbles serenade the painted dusk that beats with atomic atrocities
Folded neatly in subtle quips, darkest depths, rotted burial rags.
Lungs fill, burning daylight as the exhale reaching dawn sings above the fireflies serenade.
Hope lighting candles in the hallways were lovers parted
Foaming desire from young hearts that froth then dissolve in the noon light
Sugary secrets that stain the cold steel as the latte flavored water exhales in choking applause.
Slim pickings from the rotted wood as the ship departs from the ocean floor to the shores where the well or pond swoon
Friends play our song on rib cages exposes skeletons unearthed for about a year or two
Colors of neon lights swim through our blood leaking then to the evening pause.
Bleeding out our troubles, and burdens now
Hope lit candles rise, and flood the surface now
A memorial for where a love sick sailor drown
Glows of simple light dance along the ripple waves
Expose the windows to our souls, grazing the life left in my cheeks.
Resounding singing flows like honey
Swearing that we will never see ourselves abandoned alone at sea
Committing to the night we revoke our vows
Rise to join the sound and sail among eternity
Death is a pretty girl looking to sink you too
Among the drink
Fireflies they hum and sing as we depart
Further now than the start
Heart filled hands linked in endless melody.
