The Unseen Evergreen

Shimmers of tears exploded from frontal lobes
Eye sockets turned daytime rockets race from the excess overflow
Context now lost in the sands of time.
Blended samples of rose red flush the sour mead of teenage maturity
Swirls of road blocks, turned car crash impaling the youth in spleens
The cycles of moments lived over in dreams
Careful unread messages revealed in sync.
In the dirty old shoe box taped under the sink.
Flashes of laughter.
Endless waltzes in our time.
Un-boxed letters of wedding vows
Wined to the nines
Children crashing the early mornings of Saturdays not yet dreamt
Floors dropout as the sunshine trickles through
As screams of fear fly in the faces
Tears from reality always bleed through
Seas of time divide sinking the houses just out of reach
As we shift in our buoyant escapes
Traces of what never was fades
Mouthing please remember me
As the waters crest and break
Out of sight
Out of mind
Out breath
Out of time
Never a second thought
Bury me in the catacombs of the mind
