An Ending

 

Over and out 

The hospitals sigh

Out of breath

All out of time

The panic bells serenade

Rise and fall the pins and needles draw

Words fleet from lungs on the edge

Cradled pools of cerulean water then fall

Clouds cover the sky

Exhales bellow

Remember, whatever

The synaptic flares signal to the dates & times

Lifelines snap over shoulders in real time

Shovels echo in hallways at the end

Emotional waves stain the glass

Too much, too late, too bad

Falling up, and staying down for too long

Robotic joints bend unnaturally 

Marathon boys and girls

The abyss stares back

Lips press but gloss in shades of blue

The skies are blue
