A Little Life to Laugh

Genomes shudder as the entertained just bob their heads
Shifting sands shake our hands, a soft exhale as they believed every word they heard
The game left on pause as the television has long cooled the cathodes dreaming of our journeys in future's past.

Sutures ruptured long ago, guts spilled, time killed.
Sold short of the honor and dignity long promised in nursery rhymes dead end girls whisper
Blood thinned full of diluted minutes counting down to zero
Tell all novels confess the pieces that helped us find ourselves

Bent all out of shape in fractured mirrors
Relationships so bane with all along the carpets
Miasmatic cautions as the rotten apples bob their heads
Genomes shudder, and burst at the wet exhales labored through grave walls
Tame frames of alphabetic chance spells out a better name

Blood spills and dries
Return to sender
The high horse dies along the way
Watery graves sing
Circles end
