The Surrender Piece

If you ran, I would follow
If you climbed, I would scale
If you flew, I would soar
If you fell apart, I would crumble
If you sank, I would dive
If you fell, I would catch you
If you sang, I would write the lyrics in the sand
If you swooned in a lover's dance, I would sway the room letting you shine on my sleeve
If the moon blinked twilight across your eyes, I would catch fire in ethereal haze
If golden shadows painted you as a lover posed in intimate waiting, I would dance in endless waltz framing the halos of glow
If you looked, I would lay my armor down
If you finished the race, I would sleep well
